What happened to who? (Australian GP 2010)
Jarno Trulli didn't start the race due to problems with his Lotus.
Kamui Kobayashi, Sebastien Buemi and Nico Hulkenberg all retired on lap 1 in a big crash (Video: http://skrci.me/cra).
Bruno Senna retired after 4 laps because of gearbox problems. He was running 14th.
Vitaly Petrov spun into the gravel in 9th lap after a great start where he gained 8 spots.
Adrian Sutil retired on lap 9 due to engine problems. He would very likely score some points.
Sebastian Vettel spun off because of a breaking failure on lap 25. At that moment he was leading the race.
Lucas Di Grassi had a hydraulic issue and had to retire on lap 26.
Timo Glock retired on lap 41 due to suspension failure.
Karun Chandhok finished the race 14th with a gap of 5 laps. That was the first race finish for the new Hispania team.
Heikki Kovalainen was again the best of the rest, this time 13th. Only 3 positions away from points.
Pedro de la Rosa showed a solid performance in Sauber and was close to scoring some points. He finished in 12th because his rear tyres were very worn.
Jaime Alguersuari had a good race and kept Schumacher behind him for a very long time, but he lost the position with few laps to go and finished 11th.
Michael Schumacher damaged his front wing in turn 1 after a contact with Alonso. He fought back through the field and managed to score a point for 10th place.
Mark Webber was one of the fastest today and managed to set the fastest lap, but he made too many errors including the crash with Lewis Hamilton in the penultimate lap. He changed his front wing and managed to get into 9th.
Rubens Barrichello finished the race in 8th and scored points in 9th consecutive race. He showed a very consistent performance and was the best of those who don't drive in one of the top 4 teams.
Vitantonio Liuzzi again had a good race, this time scoring 6 points for Force India. He made no errors and finished in 7th position.
Lewis Hamilton started in 11th and had a good race with a chance of podium. He was not happy with the decision his team had made about a pit stop on lap 34. He managed to catch the Ferraris in the fight for 3rd, but was hit by Webber and lost another place. He finished in 6th position.
Nico Rosberg had a strong drive, being in 4th in first half of the race. He too made an additional pit stop which lost him some places. He managed to get the car home in 5th, the team's best result this year.
Fernando Alonso spun in a collision with Jenson Button in turn one, and after the safety car he had to fight through the field to get back into high position. He seemed fast but was stuck in 4th for a long time behind Massa and Kubica, and that's where he finished the race.
Felipe Massa had an amazing start and 3 gained places took him to 2nd. He then lost some places but still managed to get a podium with 3rd.
Robert Kubica managed to get in fourth position with a great start. He had an incredible race and finished in 2nd position.
Jenson Button pited on lap 6 from 6th position and was the first to change from intermediates to slicks, which took him to 2nd. After Vettel retired he took the lead, and with his great tyre management drove 52 laps on the same set and managed to get the win.
